Resources to help you teach over one year

The collection of resources on this page is designed to help you prepare to teach our GCSE Maths to post-16 resit students. They'll help you to reinforce and develop GCSE Maths skills across all curriculum areas. They have been produced by experienced maths specialist Julia Smith.

Getting started

Julia hosted a preparing to teach webinar in autumn 2017: Preparing to teach: post-16 one-year resit

We also have a document with 12 tips for teaching GCSE Maths to post-16 students.

Assessing basic skills and fundamental knowledge

In collaboration with Julia we have also put together three sets of basic skills questions and eight sets of fundamental knowledge questions to help you identify gaps in students' knowledge of maths skills and knowledge at the start of the resit course.
