N2.1 Understand equivalent fractions, simplifying a fraction by cancelling all common factors


Candidates should be able to:

  • identify equivalent fractions
  • write a fraction in its simplest form
  • convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions
  • compare fractions in geometry questions

Notes

In this unit it is expected that candidates will use a calculator but communicate clearly how answers have been obtained.
